General
Windows should not only be beautiful, but should also work against environmental influences like noise, cold or heat. In the latter case the choice of appropriate glass is most important. To be able to find a perfect solution for all buildings, STABIL has different glass combinations in its assortment; from standard glazing to completely special glass for particular applications – for your well-being and naturally for energy and cost saving. |

Head and sound insulating glass
Heat transfer coefficient Ug-value for multi-sheet insulation glazing: The conformity evaluation of multi-sheet glazing insulation glass is regulated in ÖNORM EN 1279-5, 2005 edition. The article 4.3.2.12 of this standard states, that the heat transfer coefficient (Uvalue) should be calculated according to EN 673. Only in cases, when calculation is not possible, it can be determined by validation (measurement) according to EN 674 or EN 675. Glass calculation according to EN 673 and validation according to EN 674 or EN 675 are considered equivalent. UW = Heat insulation value of the windows is calculated according to EN 10077-1 or proven according to EN 12567-1 (given in W/m2K) RW = sound insulation of windows according to DIN EN 20140-3 The thermal conductance is given in W/m2K. It presents the heat loss between the inner and outer side of an element. The lower the U-value, the lower the energy loss. The noise barrier efficiency is measured in decibels (dB). The rule is: the more sound and noise, the higher dB-value of selected glazing. > Head and sound insulating glass Vinyl windows download pdf > Head and sound insulating glass Wood windows download pdf |
